    Job Description

    As a Classroom Assistant at Trinityhouse, you will play a vital role in creating a positive learning experience for young children. The position encompasses various responsibilities, aimed at fostering an engaging and supportive atmosphere that aligns with the ethos of the school.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with all duties pertaining to the role of a Classroom Assistant.
    • Uphold and promote the ethos of Trinityhouse.
    • Prepare children holistically to ensure school readiness for the next grade.
    • Conduct continuous assessment throughout the year and communicate progress to parents through interviews and written reports.
    • Collaborate effectively with fellow staff members to achieve collective success for the school.
    • Follow a well-structured daily program.
    • Participate in general events and activities throughout the year.
    • Integrate learning through active child involvement and play-based methods.

    Competencies, Skills, and Requirements

    • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
    • Self-Motivated: Energetic and able to use your initiative.

    What are we looking for?
    We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

    • An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution.
    • Relevant experience in teaching English FAL.
    • Current SACE registration.
    • IEB experience.
    • A clear criminal record.

    The responsibilities are:

    • Plan, control, record and report on assessments.
    • Attend meetings, forums, workshops for the grades/phase as required.
    • Create an educational atmosphere in the classroom.
    • Take responsibility for any and all school equipment and stock of the class.
    • Work closely with the teachers in the grades/phase to ensure the effective running of the grades/phase.
    • Manage, plan, assist and promote teaching and learning within the class.
    • Manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the school.
    • Manage, plan, assist and promote discipline within the grades/phase.
    • Assist with sport and other admin duties as and when the need arises.
    • Personal commitment to education and a willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the school.

    The successful candidate will start on 01 August 2024.
