    • Duration of Programme: 24 (twenty-four) months

    • Number of Learners to participate in the programme: 4
    • Stipend: R5 003.16 per month for NQF 4 (matric qualification), R7 043.31 per month for National Diploma, Bachelors/Honours Degree & R8 584.36 per month for Master’s Degree. The Intern will receive a stipend according to the level of qualification obtained.

    IMPORTANT:

    • Only first time Learnership Programme participants will be considered.
    • Successful candidates must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department.
    • Applicants will be expected to be available for selection and interviews at a predetermined time, date and place. Leaners will be placed within the Department of International Relations and Cooperation at the Head Office in Pretoria. It is, therefore, required that candidates should have their own transport and accommodation.
    • Only South African citizens between the ages of eighteen (18) to thirty-five (35) years old are eligible to apply for the learnership programme.
    • All appointments are subject to the verification of citizenship, reference checks and security vetting.
    • If you are in possession of foreign qualifications, an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) must accompany your application.
    • Failure to submit the required documents/information will result in your application not being considered.
    • No late applications will be considered / accepted.

    The learners must be graduates of a relevant undergraduate or post graduate degree in Risk or Compliance Management, Financial Management or Business Management and will be based at the Life Healthcare Head office in Dunkeld, Johannesburg for a period of 12 months.

    The successful candidate will be required to support and assist the Group Risk Manager and the Group Compliance Lead in the implementation of the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the Group Compliance Framework.

    This will involve working closely with and assisting the Senior Enterprise Risk Managers and the Privacy Officer as they carry out their roles and responsibilities related to embedding a culture of sound risk management practices and ensuring high levels of compliance with laws and regulations, including but not limited to, privacy laws. 

    The internship will be registered with the HWSETA.  Learners will receive a stipend of R 6,000 per month for 12 monthsCritical Outputs

    • Assist with updating the elements of the risk management, compliance and privacy frameworks.
    • Support the Risk and Compliance functions in ensuring that these frameworks and the respective strategies are implemented affectively across the Group.
    • Assist with all administrative requirements as assigned by the Group Risk Manager and the Group Compliance Lead (or delegate).
